Good Performance Light Weight High Alumina Insulation Brick

Product description of light weight high alumina insulation brick

Light weight high alumina insulation brick is usually made of bauxite clinker with a small amount of clay, after grinding fine by gas generation or foam method in the form of mud pouring, forming, at 1300 ~ 1500℃ firing. Sometimes industrial alumina can be used to replace some bauxite clinker. It is used for lining and insulating layer of masonry kiln, and the part free from erosion and scouring of strong high-temperature molten material. When directly in contact with the flame, the surface contact temperature shall not be higher than 1350℃.

Features of high alumina insulation brick

High porosity
Low volume density
Good heat insulation

Details of high alumina insulation brick

Lightweight high alumina insulation bricks are often produced by foam. The mud is made with high aluminum clinker, clay, a small amount of sawdust (to thicken the blank), and a certain amount of dielectric [such as Al2(SO4)3] is added to stabilize the mud. A foam agent with low surface tension, such as soap, is added to the mud in proportion to make it lather. Foam slurry is made in a blender and poured into the model. The green blank with mold is dried at low temperature (about 40℃), and then dried at 80 ~ 95℃ after demoulding. The residual moisture after drying should be in 3% ~ 5%. Then it is burned at 1300 ~ 1350℃ and kept for 4 ~ 6h. The bulk density of lightweight high aluminum bricks is 0.4 ~ 1.0g/cm3, and the porosity is 66% ~ 67%.
