Good Thermal Stability Magnesia Chrome Bricks

Brief introduction of magnesia chrome bricks

Magnesia chrome bricks are alkaline refractory products, which are generally produced with sintered magnesia (between 89% and 92% MgO content) and chrome ore as raw materials. Magnesia chrome bricks are refractory products with magnesium oxide (MgO) and chromium trioxide (Cr2O3) as the main components and periclase and spinel as the main mineral components.

Features of magnesia chrome bricks

Ordinary magnesia chrome bricks are made of sintered magnesia and chrome magnesia ore. These bricks have high refractoriness, high temperature strength, strong resistance to alkaline slag corrosion, good thermal stability and certain adaptability to acid slag.

Application of magnesia chrome bricks

Magnesia chrome bricks are mainly used in metallurgical industry, such as building open hearth furnace roof, electric furnace roof, external refining furnace and various nonferrous metal smelting furnaces.
