Magnesia Brick for Steel Industrial

Brief introduction of magnesia brick

The main crystalline phase of magnesia bricks is square magnesite, which has the typical characteristics of alkaline refractory products in general, but is less resistant to thermal shocks. Magnesia bricks are divided into cooked magnesium bricks and uncooked magnesium bricks. Cooked magnesia bricks are divided into silicate-bonded magnesium bricks, directly bonded magnesia bricks, and re-bonded magnesia bricks. Uncooked magnesia bricks are divided into chemically bonded magnesia bricks and asphalt bonded magnesia bricks.

Features of magnesia brick

The softening start temperature of the general load of magnesia bricks is 1520~1600℃, while the high purity magnesia brick reaches 1800℃. The thermal conductivity of magnesia brick is high, and in refractory products after carbon brick and silicon carbide brick, it decreases with increasing temperature. The resistance of magnesia brick to acid slag is very poor, when using can not come into direct contact with the silicon brick, generally to use neutral brick will be separated from it.

Applications of magnesia brick

Magnesia bricks are mainly used in iron and steel alkaline flat furnace, electric furnace bottom and furnace wall, permanent oxygen converter coating, non-ferrous metal melting furnace, high temperature tunnel furnace, calcined magnesium bricks and cement rotary furnace coating, in the bottom of the heating furnace and in the wall of the furnace, in the lattice bricks of the heat storage chamber of the glass furnace, etc.
