Glass Furnace Silica Insulation Brick

Product description of silica insulation brick

Light weight silica insulation brick is a kind of light refractory material with silicon content more than 91% and bulk density less than 1.2g/cm3. Its fire resistance and filler weight softening temperature have little difference with ordinary silica bricks of the same composition. However, due to more pores, the pressure resistance, slag resistance, corrosion resistance and other properties are not as good as ordinary silicon bricks, and the thermal shock resistance is improved.

Advantages of silica insulation brick

Light weight silica brick has excellent fire resistance. Below 1620 ℃, the softening temperature of filler is close to that of dense silica brick, the residual expansion is small, and the thermal stability is better than that of dense silica brick. Therefore, light silica brick can be used for a long time under high temperature conditions without contacting with slag (1550~1550 ℃). It is suitable for large blast furnace supporting hot air lining, glass furnace gas insulation, etc.
